OUR JOURNEY
Founded in 2005 by Graham Moore, H.E.A.L. stands firmly on Christian principles, offering a safe and compassionate environment where individuals can transform pain into purpose.
After completing his rehabilitation programme in 2003, Graham quickly recognised that long-term recovery required more than individual commitment — It became clear that there was a vital need for a safe home and faith-based support structure for recovering addicts and their loved ones – one that upheld a culture of recovery grounded in Recovery principles, Christian beliefs and teachings.
While praying and seeking God’s guidance for a name for these support groups, Graham was immediately given a vision of the word H.E.A.L along with its meaning
‘Healing Educating Addicted Lives’. The name itself affirmed a profound calling from God, and from that moment the vision to establish recovery family support groups across the nations was birthed.
Today, H.E.A.L continues to grow through the dedication and service of its trained leaders and facilitators, who uphold a culture of recovery grounded in compassion, accountability, and faith. Graham remains deeply grateful for their ongoing commitment, as well as for the steadfast support of his wife, Judi, whose dedication and significant contribution have been instrumental to the development and sustainability of the H.E.A.L ministry. H.E.A.L stands as a testament to the life-changing power of God, community, faith, and lived experience—transforming personal recovery into a ministry of Healing and Hope.
H.E.A.L. focuses on family unity by reconciling family relationships, training and equipping families to interact and to fight addiction together through a support structure for both the recovering addict and the supporter. H.E.A.L. also focuses on educating both the recovering addict and supporter on the principles of recovery and assists in applying these principles to create a culture of recovery which has been developed over many years of collective knowledge and experience.
